The 20 Worst Foods in America

The only truly healthy things on their menu is the regular $1 menu salad with no dressing.. and their fruit and walnut salad. Everything else is... well, that's arguable.

A.) Those foods are revolting.

B.) Mad4Chillas...eating disorder or not, there is no excuse for adulterating food that you're going to serve to other people.

At least im being honest and owning up to my actions, if I wanted a lecture I would have asked for one. I am a grown adult, this is a forum--grow up. Enough things were said and the issue should just be put to rest. Think what you want...but im done with this thread.

Thanks for your permission.

Again, there is no excuse for what you did...and I never saw an "I'm sorry" from you. I only saw snarky attitude.

Make sure you don't run out of chill pills for yourself, honey.

Why would she have to say that she's sorry to us...? At least she was honest. It's a real eye opener of what could--and what does--happen in the real world. Talking about how horrible it is isn't going to change a thing.

We should be thankful that she told us this, because it better prepares us for the real world. And at least we didn't have to find out when it ends up happening to us! :)

We'll have to agree to disagree. Her behavior was indefensible. She expressed no remorse and took no responsibility.

There's also no excuse to talk down to somebody, especially after they've mentioned that they are sorry for the wrongs they have done. And, it's indefensible to point out one's faults, trying to make them out to be a bad person.

And, maybe you should read her posts before you insult her, because she actually did take responsibility for her actions.

I know it was mean of me and I shouldn't have done it, but I did--and no one died. I did not do this to childrens meals (it was a fast-casual resturaunt) so its not like anything was Really healthy anyways. I'm not trying to make excuses for myself or use My eating disorder as a clutch but I did do it then, but I wouldnt do it now...

Nobody's perfect, but at least she has clearly owned up to what she did. I don't think there's any reason to make her out to be a bad person, especially for such a minor offense.

She could have ignored it if she was really done with the thread. But hey, I'm used to people shitting all over me, even when I'm right. No change here.

What exactly are you "right" about? You said she didn't have remorse and that she didn't take responsibilty for her actions, but she clearly did, so...what exactly are you "right" about?

wow...that hurts! #1 is my wife's favorite appetizer. Now I have a good reason to tell her to skip it (I was never crazy about it anyway)

Wow... I am glad I don't eat out at restaurants like that! That food all looked revolting to me... and this abomination...

Arghgghghghghgghgg!

BTW..there is nothing Aussie about that.. I have never seen anything like it, and I have worked as a cook and eaten out a lot in previous years!

Hmmm...nothing on that list looked remotely appealing to me EXCEPT that exceedingly decadent dessert! mmmmm....chocolate and ice creamy goo...

As for the debate regarding adding "extras" to food at restaurants...when I was a teen I worked at a fast food place in the local mall. The guys working at the joint next to mine would PUT FLIES IN THE MICROWAVE and then have no problem using that same microwave to heat customer's food!!! :ack2:Ewwwwwwww! Um...that is one of the reasons that I do not eat fast food if I can avoid it!

Cheers

We know there's nothing Aussie about that, but you find cheese fries with bacon and ranch dressing in nearly every bar in Dallas. :drool5: Americans LOVE that stuff. I love it, but I haven't had it in about a year!!!!

EWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I rarely eat in restaurants anymore simply because of a story one of my friend's mothers told me about several years ago. She said that her coworkers used to always spit in the food they served to "be funny." They'd actually make a game of it! Im a huge saliva-phobe, so that pretty much ended my cravings for fast food forever. *cringes at the memory*

Ahhh thanks for the explaination... but I got to say...ewwwww!!!!!
That looks disgusting to me :p The fries would be all soggy and basically just hunks of greasy potato smoothered in oily cheese LOL!

Sorry to say it for all the cheese fries fans.. but YUCK!

Can you believe that as a "celiac" person I can't even eat anything on that whole list (except possibly the smoothie). How bizarre is that?

I have to say I was VERY happy when I went to NYC that everything had caloric contents written next to it (all chains had to do it and anything with more than, I think, 3 restaurants is considered a chain). And man did people eat a lot there! We went to a Texas steak house or something along those lines and ordered a meal for one (which was steak, and rice and fries) shared it and we managed to eat about half of it. People around us ate a meal each, no problem! I was flabbergasted!
I am not saying people outside of the states don't eat huge portions as well, it was just really impressive. And people in NYC were not that big either (we weren't surrounded by the obese).

They don't look as revolting in person as they do in that picture. The ones in that picture look as if they've been sitting out for hours. And they taste GOOOOOOOOOD.
