Hi everyone, sometimes I have a hard time finding good work out songs for my ipod, so I wanted to ask:

What is that one song on your ipod that you love for working out? Is it the same for cardio vs strength training?

Thanks!

Fabolous - Breathe -

for cardio

T.I. - You dont know me - Weights for some reason I like angry songs for lifting.

My 2 faves if I had to pick em.

On my running mix lately one song I really like is:

Goldfrapp- Strict Machine

I think it's good for cardio :)

Master of puppets by metallica.Puts me in the right mood for a few heavy weights.

The strange thing is I dont really like heavy metal,my favourite bands in the "real world" are The Smiths and REM

I have the weirdest taste in music...I'm all over the place but here are some good cardio songs...I dont know if you've seen the commercial for his new movie, but some times I look like Brad Pitt running on the Treadmill lol.

Ludacris - Get Back
Kanye West - New Workout Plan
Flo Rida - Low
Beetle Juice - Day-O
O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei
Trace Adkins - Honky Tonk Badonkadonk

I know thats more than one but they are my favs. I have more if interested lol.

I totally have that image in my head now, lol!

Edco76 said Pantera and I would have to agree as I love Pantera.

But the album Meanderthal by Torche is the album I've been playing for cardio (5K runs on treadmill only) - don't really like to have music on for weights.

Try the song Grenades by Torche of you're looking for an example.

By the way, saw them live just the other night for the first time, really weird hearing the songs while not running my ass off :D

I'm so serious lol :smilielol5:

At 1st I was a little shy but then I was like hell it's no different than the people in the dance classes lol. When you are getting tired, it really helps give that extra push.

That is hilarious LillyTame!

Sometimes I think about how I look while I'm working out but then I start to work less hard and I'm like, forget about that! Everyone looks funny when they work out!

Another one I know Mr Sickles likes (cause he sings it in the shower all the time, shhh dont tell him I said that) is Fireman by Lil Wayne.

Mat Kearney - Undeniable
Take That - Patience
Paolo Nutini - New shoes
The Fratellis - Whistle for the choir
Taking Back Sunday - Make damn sure
Taking Back Sunday - Cute without the E
System of a Down - Prison Song
System of a Down - Chop Suey
O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei
Basshunter - DoTa
Basshunter - All I ever wanted
Patrik & Lillen - Vifta Med Hænderna
The Beatles - Obladi, Oblada (believe that's the title name)
Cute is What We Aim For - Practice makes perfect
A Day Away - Touch me, tease me
The Starting Line - Bedroom talk
All Time Low - Coffee Shop Soundtrack

I don't have specific songs really...most of the stuff by Apocalyptica works, if you leave out the slow pieces, most of the Rammstein stuff, Evanescence (again, minus the slow ones), Alter Bridge, Linkin Park, some Kiss stuff...basically anything that has a fast rhythm. Also depends on what I do, and the mood I am in.
