That darn post-baby belly... help!

In 5 weeks, I have lost 12 pounds. I weighed 144 and now weigh 132.. I know that seems like a lot, but most was water weight. I also gain AND lose weight very easily, so I just have to make sure I keep up with exercising.

I eat 1500 a day, but allow myself to have one "free day". That free day I might exercise but if I don't, I do 60 minutes the next day.

My plan is fine, but I can not lose weight on my belly! At all! When I lay down on my side my belly just falls out and looks like a round ball of fat... my hips are slimmer, and it's not too noticeable when standing, but I feel gross..

Not really sure what to do... It's been 10 months since I had my son. I'm a good size but my belly makes me feel self-concious. I still want to wear jackets and hoodies because it is winter, but I hope by April I am able to look good again!

Any exercises good for this? Any tips?

Are you taking any nutritional supplements to help you at all?

I didn't realize that this is an all women thread. Sorry, I'm a guy! I finish your response about how nutrition supplements are used to help with weight loss and then I'll start up a thread about nutrition supplements and I will then stop responding to this thread. Sorry about the inconvenience.
Nutritional supplements help with weight loss regardless of baby fat or just good old fat. They can help with a reduced cravings, controlled appetite, and give you extra energy. I use supplements to lose weight, and they help greatly. So it works. But you want to be sure your taking the correct one. There are many out there that are frauds and others out there that work like your wouldn't believe this is happening.
I'm trying to figure out how to start up a new thread but if I don't find it in time.[THIS IS NOT YOUR SALE YARD - STOP POSTING YOUR CONTACT DETAILS]

I'm hoping you can lose the belly and I don't want to sound negative, but you could be permanently disfigured and require surgery to get rid of *the belly*. I hope not..... I don't know you and wouldn't wish it on you but I expect that is the case for me. No matter how much I diet or do exercise, if I want a flat, normal looking stomach, I'm going to have to go under the knife. Try all you can to lose the weight first but, bear in mind that at the end of the day, surgery might be your only option.

Sorry I can't be more optimistic on this one, but I'm a realist.

Good luck.

I have made a lot a reasearche on this since having a c section in 2006. I haven't lost the belly but also I never went back down to my pre baby weight, and I have had a second pregnancy since, also my first was a c section. I am sure abdominal exercese help the muscle return to normal, the problem is the loose skin...my sister had 5 pregnancy and doesn't have the baby belly, so I beleive there is hope....some people swear by product like bio oil or coco butter to help your skin shrink back. I think it all depends on your skin type, and a good healthy diet and exercise....I wish I had a sure trick for you....I am still looking for one myself.
