What are we planing to eat this Thanksgiving?

For me I am going to enjoy my food and use portion sizes.

I am baking a turkey, having mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, and corn. I am fixing dressing, and will bake my Pumpkin cake today. I am fixing baked beans also. Yes I am having a small piece of cake!:newangel: :seeya:

Im gonna pig out because one day of eating what i want isnt gonna kill me, and i love all the thanksgiving foods.. probably just use it as my cheat day :) that's what i plan lol..

If I have a portion of everything that I cook I would use 30 points for Thursday and that is not including others meals for the day.

I will have 1 slice of 35 cal toast (.5 points) and a cup of coffee and 1 20oz water at breakfast. We will eat thanksgiving dinner around 12 noon or 1:00pm. I am having 1/2 cup mashed pototoes (2 points); 1 slice of turkey (2 points); 1 cup of green beans (0 points); 1/4 cup baked beans (1 point), and 1 slice 35 cal. bread (.5 points). A total of 6points. I would have 16 points left! 1/2 slice of cake (3.5 points), 13.5 points left.

[1 cup sweet pototoes (3 points); 1 sm. sq of turkey dressing is (3 points). I could have a sm slice of each for (1point).] And still have 12.5 points left.

I forgot about the corn 1 cup (2 points). I would still have 10. 5 points in the even.

I may take a cheat day and pig out too, lol. But I am a slow eater and fill up fast. You can always cut back on other days and do extra exercises. But please don't cut out food all together, not good for you. Mothers and kin folks goes to the trouble fixing our favorite foods. Put a little of each in your plate and choose at least one dessert and have a little.

I got to clean house and bake that cake for tomorrow.

"Have a Great Thanksgiving Day"!

Anna

im sure my pig out wont compare to years before.. but its gonna be more then i been eating in the last 2 months :coolgleamA:

Hi all! lol. No I'm only having 1/2 cup mash potato for dinner. I will be eating breakfast and lunch too. I have worked too hard and lost 3 pounds already to ruin it by eating a large dinner for Thanksgiving dinner. And gain it all back. The skinnier i get, the harder it is for me to lose weight and the more i have to work hard. It sucks. Also Thanksgiving day is my birthday! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

it take 3500 cals to make a pound of fat think about what your saying to gain that 3lbs back u would half to consume 10,500 cals above your maintenance.. and thats if your body was 100% efficient at storing fat.. so let put this in prospective 1 oz of turkey has about 40 cals in it so to gain 3lbs of fat you would half to eat about 250oz of turkey... there is 16oz in a lb so u would half to eat 15lbs of turkey breast meat.. to gain 3lbs of fat...

I wonder how long 15 lbs of turkey breasts would stay in your digestive system o_O

You'd probably weigh 15 heavier for like a month unless you went to the restroom like 5 times a day.
