Not to sound like an infomercial here and I am in no way associated with them but it's way cool. You put in your age, weight, activity level, how much you want to lose in a week and it creates a daily caloric intake for you. Then get this...you scan the bar code of whatever you eat, put in the portion amount, and it automatically calculates the nutritional information, how many calories you have remaining for the day, and whether you are on track for your fitness goals. Impressive.

Yes, MFP is a pretty cool tool. Amazingly large database of foods.

RPatrick100: do you find that the recommended number of calories is working to keep you on track for your weightloss? I'm not really sure what they're based on other than basic BMR calculations.
