Teenage years.

Here's a question that's been rolling in my mind forever now. (Actually, since I've turned 13, but yeah..)

Is it right to lose weight when you're thirteen? I keep hearing that teenagers should eat alot...

And I know that most people would think that losing weight anytime is healthy, and of course it is, but is it healthy when you're a growing teenager? I'm 230lbs, 5'8. How many calories p/day should I be eating to still be healthy, and not stunt my growth, and still lose fat?

Thanks to anyone in advance.

you're never too young to learn healthy eating habits that you can take with you for the rest of your life as well as get involved in a fitness program that you can also take with you for the rest of your life.

Should you be dieting? Not i the sense that most people use the word -no... because of your age, I'm not going to give you any specific advice other than to tell you to talk to your parents -and ensure that they understand your goals - they are the ones who pay to feed you...

I was a normal sized teenie, but my man was a chunky teenie, he was the biggest boy in his class until he was 15 and changed his eating habits. He went from being a 200 pound 5'10 to being his current 155 pounds on 6' changing what he ate and how he exercised.
It is never too early! And he now has NO weight problem at all, he stays his skinny self through everything! But he knows how and when to eat and how and when to exercise.
