Teenage Newbie - KICKING IT OLD SCHOOL

Hi. I'm Kaily.
I currently weigh about..oh 140lbs. I have a 5 foot 2 inch body frame, and I want to get into shape.
My goal weight is 120-125 lbs. I want to weigh that much by February 1st 2009.
I'm in grade 11 and Semi-Formal is in February. It's my first semi-formal I've gone to in my entire high school experience. I didn't go to any of the past ones because I was too heavily involved with drugs and partying. I'm proud to say that I'm now clean and have been for almost 5 months. I don't plan on going back to drinking and partying.
When I was heavy into drugs I weighed about 100lbs. I was underweight, but since I quit and went clean, I've gained alot of weight.
I decided I'm going to lose weight the healthy way, not try any fad diets. I'm going to change up my eating plan and work out 4-6 times a week. Mostly cardio.
If you have any tips for me, just let me know.
I'm excited to start this. :)

Congrats on taking the first step..I know how hard it must have been for you to kick bad habits. It seems that you dont have too much to lose so with a little exercise and better eating you shouldnt have a problem hitting your goal..good luck!!
