Hi Everyone,
My name is Frankie,
I am married, female, in my late 30's and obese. My goal is to lose 15-20 kg's and I was surfing the net looking for a support group to be part of my journey, and accountability. And stumbled across this site, so hello, and I wll start a diary as of tomorrow.
My goals are slowly but surely to get there. I have 2 dogs and so walk them every day for an hour, sometimes more, and want to start walking/ jogging twice a week to begin with and slowly work that up to three times a week. I think a realistic time frame for my journey is a year or so, and hope this is achieveable for my longterm aims to be healthy, fit and feel great. It would also help to be able to fit some of the nice clothes I have in the wardrobe and not feel out of breath, sweat so much and just feel lighter, less sluggish and all round better in myself. And not be embarassed.
It's probably a bad time to start the journey heading into holiday season and christmas, but there is never a good time, and I just have to start. Any encouragement and support along the way would be appreciated, and I hope I may be part of your journeys too.
Sorry for the first long post,
