Swimmer's Shoulders

Does anyone know how to obtain swimmers shoulders without becoming a professional swimmer?!

Is it working out the shoulder muscles or the lats (or something else) which gives those wide, square shoulders? I know it'll be a combination of muscles, but does anyone know what muscle group it is mostly to do with? I'm more concerned over the position of the shoulders rather than the mass.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I think it's lats. If you look at swimmers (it's especially noticable with females, since they don't usually have large backs) they all have very large upper backs. I think this is from the pulling motion which is the main upper body half power mover in most strokes. I'd try various forms of pull ups and rowing motions, if not long distance swimming to get the same result. It is also intersting to note that most swimmers do a lot of distance training and yet develop significant muscle mass, which kind of goes against the conventional wisdom that says you must do low rep, heavy weight traiing to gain muscle mass.

That is true, I also thought about that. Anyone have any idea why this happens?
