Started my weight loss journey on September 17th when I joined weight watchers with my wife. 370.2 at 6' 4"...ugh. Decided to start taking things serious after I sent to the doctor for hip pain and he prescribed me with...gastric bypass surgery. Wasn't expecting that. I was thinking more along the lines of an anti inflammatory?

I bought a quality bike and started riding every day (when it was warmer). First day I went 2 miles and at the end I had 911 on speed dial. I wished I had opted for the headlight upgrade and defibrillator option on the Cannondale F7. By the last week in October I was up to 10 miles. Did something crazy and joined the gym the last week in October after realizing cold weather spandex bicycling gear is a long term goal that I am not ready for now. That elliptical trainer is an ass kicker huh? 10 minutes and I was looking for the nitro pill dispenser. As of yesterday I made that thing my bitch for 45 minutes, non stop even!

Any how as of Nov 19th I was down to 339. I jumped on the scale at the gym and as of yesterday it said I was down to 334. Different scale so I am not counting my chickens until I weigh on officially on the 26th. Any how Ill go do a journal. Just wanted to say HAI!

Holyt shit Moon, that's some kick ass weight in no time!

I have a cannondale too, without the AED option. And the world is not yet ready to se me in spandex bike shorts either, but... Fuckem, I'm riding for me, not them.

'Sides, hang a wide load sign on my back and they'll be to busy laughing to care.

welcome in.

wow your doing great.

I started about the same time and only almost 15 pounds down. I am a short slow looser...but I did get my butt up and moving, using an elliptical right now...going to add some free weights next.

good luck and great job!

Thanks all.

I think it is easier for an extremely obese person to loose weight faster than one who isn't that bad off. I was watching a show on Discovery about the Half Ton Dad and he lost like 120 pounds in a day. Granted he weighed HALF A FRIGGIN TON and went to 1500 calories a day....So I expect things to slow down here soon.

Cabbie...I agree 100% When I started riding my bike I was expecting some razzing or heckling but no one said anything...yet. Eff em if they dont like it!

Can't wait to e-bragh about my weight loss!
