Sweating out a sickness

Another girl!!

Here I am for the foursome!! Hope I'm not too late, but you were looking for another female, yes?

I have always believed in "sweating it out" which was usually in my own bath tub, as hot as I could make it.

Since I've been going the club and enjoying the sauna and steam rooms, I have not been sick once (dates back to October, right thru the cold and flu season). I'm not trained in medicine or physiology or any of that, I'm just some chick that finds it works for her.

Well over the last couple of days I have had a bad headache sore throat and runny nose and on sunday morning I decided I would go for a run and get it out of me..... BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! I hit about 500m down my road and I had to stop and walk back. I dunno bout this sweating but I sure know running didnt do it for me.

well yeh sore throat of course, your breathing in and out hard, especially while running, headache too, probaly end up straining your head even more, and idk bout runny nose lol

Today I was speaking with someone who brought up a very good point and study. His pediatrician was dumbfounded when he refused to allow his children to receive the polio vaccine. He took her (same one as my sons) a report that showed the only cases of polio since the 60's or so resulted from the vaccine. We started discussing OTC meds and how when you take them, they dont cure you, but eliminate the symptoms. Those "symptoms" are the bodies natural healing process, along with raised body temp. He said when he was in college they did a study to determine which temp these viruses and bacteria liked best, and guess what it was...98 degrees. So when we get a fever, its really the bodies defense trying to "cook" and kill the invading bacteria. Along with the runny nose, coughing and sneezing.

Now this lady is cautious about which vaccinations she administers and when.
