Hello to all! and let me say this is fantastic to see a group of forums from each and everyone of you! I cant wait to keep following each of your progress!
approx 14 days ago i decided enough is enough, i have 4 boys, 2 step and 2 mine, i help take care of my father who lives with my husband and i and needless to say i have spent so much of my life helping others but now its getting to where i cant take care of me!
So i slowly have started to realize i am no good to anyone if i dont SHOW PEOPLE AND LEAD BY EXAMPLE!!! I love to help, i love to motivate, i love to inspire...BUT I HAVE BEEN LEAVING OFF ME!!! What the heck?? where did i get this from??? ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE BESIDES ME?? So i am thankful for this site, to be able to know that i am not alone, to be able to relate to others! to not be a hermit!! I am an open book and i have been through alot of trials and tirbulations, economically, weight, fitness, finances, marriages:), kids, motherhood, you name it i have been through it and i have and am still learning! I am here for each of you if i can help/ give advice/ or just listen as i see alot of you here are doing the same! KEEP IT UP! ENJOY LIFE AGAIN!!! DONT GIVE UP!!!!!

Hello katbarlow, glad you joined the forums! you have some nice sayings, yes it's true no one is going to take care of you except you! It reminds me of a neighbor who was taking care of her aged mother. She was being run into the ground trying to care for her wheelchair bound eccentric mother and the stress was really taking a toll healthwise on her.

I told her, as much as you love your mother, you have to take time out and think of your health, I asked her, who's going to care for her if you get ill?

Welcome to the forum.

I see that you havent posted anything for the last few days and am hoping that you are ok.

Like any new resolution - the drive to focus on our own health and deal with our problems takes effort - especially after the initial drive at the very start.

I know that you are busy but encourage you to find time for you and to deal with your issues...

Whatever you do - do not be discouraged if you deviate from plan and have a less healthy few days... Too many people have a bad day and consider that to be the end of the diet...

I hope that things are going well - but do not be discouraged if they are not...

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends

Good luck with your project.
