Sun Chips

I used to never eat lunch at my school and if I did, I always got the sub. Well, I'm thinking of just buying a bag of Sun Chips and eating them throughout my day. Would that be healthier? I'm going to be scoping out better choices tomorrow.

Eating just a bag of sunchips would definitely NOT be healthier. A bag of sunchips does not have enough protein or nutrients to make up a healthy meal. The best option would be to eat a healthy sub. Whole grain bread, low fat meats, lots of veggies, low fat or no cheese and no mayo.

I agree with BW, only a bag of sun chips is a big step backward. The key isn't to just reduce how much you eat but to make better choices in what you do eat. Make the calories worth something to your body (not just your taste buds).

A sub with extra veggies and lean meats like turkey or chicken, mustard instead of mayo, less or no cheese is a fantastic choice!

Thanks. I was at the Caf yesterday(Snowday TOday!) and they didn't even have any so that was out of the question. I always take the cheese off of my sub when I buy them from school. I just need to find a cheaper alternative because subs are only 50cents less than a plate lunch.

Take a bag of cut up veggies with you........or some cheese and a few wheat crackers.......or jerky...........just a suggestion!!!
later...
