Strength & Cardio Exercise Times & Eating

Right now, I am very slim. I am 26 yrs old. I used to have a 6-pack. I have been doing push-ups about 3 times a week for a few months. I've also done exercises to increase my glutes and to work out my calves. I have done some running in place sporadically. I have noticed a difference in my pecs, glutes and calves. My goal is to lose the small pouch of belly fat I have attained over the past 3 yrs and to get my 6-pack back. For about a week, I have been working at a place where I am constantly moving. I have noticed a bit of weight loss. I have read that one should lose weight/burn fat first and then build muscle or vice versa because it's "impossible" to do both at the same time. My questions are:

1. What times of day should I excercise in conjuction with eating meals?

2. I know that muscles repair/grow at night. Should I be doing crunches during this period or should I just focus on running to burn the fat?

3. Should I do muscle building exercises before or after cardio?
A. Should they be done on the same day?
B. How far should they be done apart?

4. Should I eat before or after exercise?
A. If "after", how long should I wait before eating?
B. If "before", how long should I wait before exercising? Please help!

1. Train when you have a good time to do so and stay consisitent as possible. If you split day train (weights and cardio)....it might be best to do cardio second if done first....give yourself 4-6 hours of recovery.
As far as eating goes this may help

2. No such thing as spot reduction I'm afraid. A person can do a million crunches or run forever and still not get results (at least not what they want).
#1 fat burner is an increase in muscle (lipolysis)

3. before...and same day is possible as long as you have enough recovery time and are advanced enough to take it.

4. Pre and post workout meals are very impotant and very much needed

good luck to you....a little research will go a long way
