Strange things going on with my feet...

So, I posted a while back that I was having weird pains in my feet in the mornings. Everyone seemed to believe that I was describing plantar fasciitis, but I'm pretty sure that's not what's going on here. (This pain is not in my heel, and it's more of a nervy pain.)

Every morning, when I get out of bed and put my feet on the floor, I get a zingy nervy pain that starts in the balls of my feet and moves upward and outward towards my toes. After a few second of walking around, the zingy, tingly sensation goes away. This has been consistently happening for the past couple of months every morning. I've almost gotten used to it. I cringe right before I have to put my feet on the floor because I know what's coming. It seems to be worse on days that's it's cold.

I'm also getting tingling and numbness in my toes during the day. It just kind of happens randomly. It doesn't hurt, it's just kind of annoying.

Oh, I've also been getting chilblains (perniosis), look them up if you don't know what they are. They've gotten better since it's started warming up a little. I've been getting them every winter for a couple of years.

So yeah, that's everything that's been going on with my feet. I've been avoiding running and wearing uncomfortable shoes, but that doesn't seem to be helping much. I just want to know what's going on. I want to make sure my diet or fitness activites aren't contributing to this.

Unless it's a symptom of diabetes... most numbness of the legs originates in the lower back. If it continues, you should probably schedule a trip to your doctor to find out what's going on. It could be something as simple as tightness and swelling of muscles in the lower back placing stresses on your spine and nerves, or it could be something more serious.

Have you consulted a doctor about your perniosis?
 
No, I didn't think it was serious enough to go to a doctor about. (The chilblains).

But yeah, if any of the symptoms get worse, I'll definitely get it checked out.

In general, I've been pretty healthy and feeling pretty well so I suspect this may have something to do with the amount of time I spend on my feet or the shoes that I wear or something...

I just want to know what it is.


Oh, also if it is tightness in my lower back, then what can be done about that?

Well, the chilblains could be symptomatic of larger problems such as anemia and hormonal imbalances, which can be countered with proper, medically dosed supplementation, so it might be something to see your doc about.

As for lower back tightness...

Stretch, stretch, stretch! Heat therapy will also help to loosen the musculature, and message therapy can help to loosen and remove muscle knots, reduce lactate pooling, and improve blood flow to the effected tissue.

Wow, I had no idea they were symptomatic of other more serious problems. I just thought some people just got them in the winter for no apparent reason.

You might be sleeping or laying in such a way that your foot falls asleep. If it's happened only recently, it could be because you're getting bigger, and this changes the way you sleep and ****.

For instance, if you're really yolked and have a lot of upper back muscle, sleeping flat on your back will cause your arms to go numb. Since my legs have grown, I can't sit on the ****ter for as long as I used to without my legs going numb. I weigh more, so more pressure is put on my arteries. This cuts off blood circ.

Hmm, I don't think this is what's going on. My feet feel fine until they touch the floor in the morning.
