Well I figured I would start one of these things. I'm on like day 4 of doing turbo jam. I've been doing either a combo of the 20 and 40 minute sessions each day or two 40 minute sessions if my body can handle it. Today I did two 40's and I'm worn out.

I went shopping for groceries today. Candy was replaced in my shopping cart with fruit. Sausage/hotdogs were replaced with salad and dressing. Chips replaced with sunflower seeds. Soda replaced with juice. Well... almost. I got a couple of bottles of diet coke on days I feel like a "treat." I also got some cottage cheese and canned pineapple, blueberry muffins, wheat bread and some peanut butter and sugar free jelly. I know the muffins and peanut butter aren't that healthy but ehh. As long as I watch my calories each day I should be able to get away with those on moderation.

Well I just finished my last workout for the day. I worked out 1h45m today... but I took in 2300 calories which is a lot compared to my 1600-1700 average. I guess we need to have an off day once in a while right?

I'm doing much better today. I had cottage cheese and pineapple for breakfast and a salad with some tuna for lunch. I'm at 800cals which is a hell of a lot better then yesterday. I did 40 minutes of cardio this morning and I feel good enough to do another 40 later in the evening.

My lower back is killing me today. I've injured it before in a couple of car accidents so sometimes I gets really sore. I think I'm going to have to limit how much I work out today because of it. I did 20 minutes of cardio earlier and it loosened up a little. I'll try some more later.

Well my back started feeling a lot better towards the end of the day. In all I did turbo jam for a total of an hour today. 1294cals intake.

I think I'm starting to see a bit of a difference. My clothes are a little looser and I feel a bit... tighter... I guess you could say. I think my mind is playing tricks on me though. I really don't think that 1-3 hours of high impact cardio and eating better for a whole week can have results like this.

I wish I had a scale so I could confirm that it's actually doing something and that this is all not in my head.

I took the day off yesterday. I laid on the couch resting my back most of the day reading a book. Then went and hung out with my friend and his wife then went downtown and walked around to different art galleries. I weighed myself on my friend's scale and I'm at 237. So my origional guess that I was in the 260 range was totally off. Only having to lose 50ish lbs to get to a "normal" BMI kinda takes some stress away since I don't have to lose as much as I though.

My back is still a bit sore so I don't know if I want to push myself to work out today.

So I think I'm going to have to limit myself to only an hour of exercise each day because any more is really starting to wear me out.

Yesterday I worked out for an hour and took in 1440 calories.

Today I've done my hour of exercise and have taken in 890 calories so far.

Hi.
Looks like you are off to a good start.
What are your stats, if i may ask. Just a reference point- nothing personal. :D

Total of 1248 calories intake today.

Bigguy, the only thing I know is that I'm 5'10 237lbs as of last Saturday. I'll weigh myself again when I'm my friends house this weekend.

I'm worried that you aren't getting enough calories. That's also a possibility why you get so worn out when you exercise... it would start to take more of a toll the longer you keep yourself in that deficit.

Sounds like you are making really healthy choices with the foods you are eating. Keep up the work! And yay for not weighing as much as you thought, that's awesome.

I woke up later then expected, had a job interview that lasted most of the afternoon and I'm about to go to dinner with the family. Looks like my cal intake will be boosted today. =p I'll work out when I get home.

Maybe you want to drop the intensity of your workout a bit til you get used to it - one day of higher calories isn't goin to make a lot of difference -it's the big picture you really want to look at.

What are you eating before your workouts? if so - -what?

I usually work out about a half hour after lunch and dinner so that's usually around 300-600 calories before I work out.

1050cals in so far. I might have a snack here in a little bit. My normal 1 hour of exercise. I toned it down a little and I'm not feeling so worn out so I think that was my problem.

This isn't weight loss related but I got called for my second interview today. Hopefully this means I'm pretty close to getting a job.
