So many people dedicate their time to "losing weight" and think that, that will in-fact make them healthier. Well that's not how it works. Being small does not mean your healthy and being heavier does not necessarily mean you're unhealthy. All change starts in your mindset, there must be a reason bigger than "I want to lose weight" for you to be successful in your journey. We are programmed to find things that we lose, so stop trying to "lose weight" you will gain it right back x10. Instead, figure out exactly what you are seeking to accomplish. Is it confidence? Higher self esteem? Longer life span? want to be a good example? Want to be able to take care of someone you love? You want to feel better? You have to have a reason bigger than just Weight. What will you gain from it? Your "why" is where you should start. That will give you the drive to start making changes and stop making excuses.

Next, start by making small steps and creating routines. You can start with a walk in the morning, and once you've created that habit in your mind then you can move on to bigger strides like cardio and strength training exercises. But create the habits FIRST. Also making small healthier eating decisions like whole wheat bread instead of white bread, green veggies instead of rice or pasta. Small substitutions just to start. You will adapt quickly and better eating habits will form into a lifestyle you enjoy instead of a punishment. Diets are temporary, Health journeys are lifetime. Tracking your progress is also extremely beneficial, you can't measure what you don't track, and no matter how big or small, progress is still progress and some progress is better than no progress.

I spent many years in my early 20's in the gym and eating relatively healthy, until I got sick. I was no longer working out and my eating habits were awful. I went from a very healthy body at 170lbs and a fat percentage of only 25% to 230lbs and a fat percentage of 40%. I was Considered obese. I was miserable, depressed, I hated what I saw in the mirror I had no confidence, I had a lot of self hatred. I also tried every Fad diet in the book like Keto, Atkins, Paleo, intermittent fasting, diet pill phentermine, quick cleanses etc. You name it I've tried it. All of these resulted in rapid weight loss AND even faster and bigger weight gain afterwards.

Since March, before Covid was a thing, I had finally made a decision. I'm not going to allow myself to live like this anymore. So, I took the small steps and started creating habits first. Walking, food substituting, being more active, healthier snacking. I started virtual fitness training and since all the gyms had started to close down anyways it was just perfect timing. This program offered me EVERYTHING I needed at my own pace. Tons and Tons of fitness programs to pick from, 2 different nutrition plans that I could work with and lots of supplemental options. The protein shake was my favorite because it literally tasted like a Malt or a shake and it was full of nutrients. This was life changing! Seriously, to the point I truly believe EVERYONE NEEDS THIS. AND I got to be part of a small community of people that were all part of the same program, just doing different things within it, but working towards common goals. Their support and accountability helped keep me going. So, I am now at 195 with a fat percentage of 29%. I mean the physical change is awesome and I am much more confident, but the mentality change is out of this world! I'm a whole new person inside and out, the feeling that I have now is what I was seeking. I did things the right way, the healthy way. Not the easy way.

Anyways, I hope this finds whoever needs to read this well and creates a bit of inspiration. It has to come from somewhere right? Cheers.

I have approved this post, despite that it reads like a leadup to selling your product which you have already been warned about linking to.

While cleanses and diet pills are not to be recommended, the other diets listed are not fads and do have science behind them, they may not be for everybody, but they are far more valid than a diet reliant on shake and supplements which is very much a fad.

While I will go ahead and agree to disgree with you. I have yet to meet ANYONE who can sustain a lifestyle where they are restricted from eating healthy foods such as fruit and whole wheat foods, those are fad diets and as soon as you quit them you gain weight. That's a fad. My protein shakes are a choice and contain nutrients that most people aren't getting, but in no way shape or form did I say I was reliant on them. My lifestyle simply consists of healthy things and a protein shake if I desire. Again, not a fad a choice of lifestyle. Also I appreciate you allowing me to inspire others with my life changing story. I see that you were concerned about my post even though I mentioned NOTHING of what program I am in and have yet to remove a number of links that were posted within the same hour that consisted of nothing but spam. Thanks! best of luck to you!!!

Also.... There's science backed by lot's of weight loss pills and body cleanse programs, that doesn't mean that they are healthy nor even sustainable for the average person. That just means it satisfies the persons need for rapid weight loss. Rapid weight lost=Rapid weight gain. Weight loss does not =happiness, Skinny does not =healthy, Heavier does not =unhealthy. Also those diets that have science behind them are not meant to even be long term (says science) so that's NOT a lifestyle change, but I'm sure you know that since you've clearly done your research on how science backs these things right? They aren't healthy long term. Keto, isn't even meant for women. These are fads because fad=temporary. Diets=Temporary results Health Journey= Lifelong external and internal results.

you seem a little upset

Keto, isn't even meant for women
:smilielol5:

many of the studies done are on female participants, there is absolutely no facts to back your statement.

as for long term, I have been ketogenic since 2008, as an elite athlete I won a national title while ketogenic, it is not for everybody, after all most diets do work to some extent, it is not a one size fits all proposition, however all good long term diets (we are always on a diet but the outcome of loss, maintenance or gain will vary) rely on meeting the bodies nutrient needs without the long term use of supplements and shakes. Some people do need supplements due to diagnosed health conditions but that is not the majority.

As for Intermittent fasting, there is also plenty of science there as well, however @overlandflyer will likely have those studies close to hand and post them when he gets online.
