Hi I used to post here but then fell out of habit of it , but I did find it helpfu having an online journal so I am going to try again. So I just had my sixth baby four months ago and my husband and I have decided we are done having kids now ( we are running out of space lol) so for the past 10 years I have been pregnant or nursing so I sometimes could get some weight gone and a lot of times I could not . It was hard to stay motivated when I knew I was just going to get pregnant again soon anyways . Now that I am not going to be pregnant again that excuse is gone so I am hoping I can start losing a little weight through diet alone since excercise other than walks with the kids doesn't fit into my life right now . I have gotten very heavy over the years , I am 5"2 and 205 pounds which is a lot to move around and my knees and back hurt a bit from I am assuming the weight . My husband is very fit which is awesome but sometimes i feel like he doesn't quite understand how hard this always is for me I am basically addicted to sugar and it is so hard to not reach for chocolate when I go on very little sleep . I haven't given up though and I am hoping that this time around the overhaul on my eating habits sticks and I can start feeling better so my kids always remember mommy playing.

You can do this keep it up..And best of luck for your baby..

Thanks everyone . I am very optimistic this time around that I will be able to curb my eating and be more active . I am looking forward to winter coming to a close so I can start walking the kids to and from school again because I find even just that small amount of activity helps me stay on track with my eating . Unfortunately I seem to go the other way too that if I have no real excercise for the day my eating spins out of control . I turn 30 this month and Being older now I know it will be harder than in my 20's but the upside is i also know my self more too and I know what makes me snack and that I am tired of the excuses and the weight . I want and need to be healthier and set a good example for all my kids .

That actually made me laugh out loud. I don't mean that in a bad way. I am not saying how old I am :D
Seriously though, being healthier & fitter will be a great example to your kids. Being able to walk them to & from school will be excellent. You have had such a harsh Winter. It makes the news often here in Australia.

While it's true that metabolism slows down with age it's a very slow change. What makes it harder to keep our weight from about thirty is that's an age our life styles tend to change. You're actually going in the "right" direction here: you've been with your partner for a long time so you're not as much at risk for relationship calories (most people gain some weight when they pair off), you're done with the pregnancies and you're probably at the most time-intense period of your kids' lives already. Any changes you can make right now should make a real difference!
