Steroid documentary

Pillman actually died from painkillers, not from steroids.

Eddie abused alcohol and painkillers and other recreational drugs as well as steroids.

I can see why they'd leave out those details, but it's pretty p isspoor to do so

Interesting watch, but nothing i didn't already know...Well, nothing so far (I'm about half way through)

I think the kid who hanged himself was on anti depressants too.. but I'm not 100% sure so don't quote me on that. But there's a lot of stuff like that going around, but if they had a history with anabolic steroids, they get the blame instantly.

In the media, EVERYTHING is biased. It's just how it is. You want unbiased information read a journal or a textbook, even then look out for contradicting information.

textbooks are often biased (some are very good are are not, though), though not nearly as much as the media. So I guess the only thing you can do is read the research yourself, though, sometimes researchers can have a goal with the study. It's often smart to figure out who funded the study..

The trick is to research behind the topic you want to know about, and come up with your own opinion. You're very right, if you read a text that is showing you a conclusion it might very well be biased.

We actually had a pharmacokinetics book written by someone whose research was funded by Abbott, and it showed.

Watching it. Would like to hear other's opinions on this vid.

My own opinion is that steroids represent the dark side of bodybuilding/weight-lifting/sport in general and I would not personally get involved with them or advise others to dance with the dark side. However I know there are others fascinated by the dark side and so look before you leap, do a bit of reading and research.

Dude, everything you read is biased...everything. They've purposely left out other details to put over the brutality of steroids and the viewer doesn't know any better
