Starting over

Hello everyone! I'm brand new here.

I'm starting my weight loss journey all over again. I've been a yo-yo dieter since I was 12, I've been underweight, overweight, too weak, too muscular, and everything in between. Right now, I am back to my heaviest weight on record, where I haven't been in 8 years.

I am pesco vegetarian for non-weight-loss reasons, and do not eat dairy or eggs. I have a generally healthy diet--I eat all the right foods, just too much of them.

I'm an aerial dancer. It builds a lot of strength and flexibility but is not much for cardio exercise. As a result, I have a lot of muscle under a lot of fat on my body, which just looks like bulk. It can be a vicious circle: the heavier I am, the more muscle my body needs to flip itself, which leads to more muscle weight. Muscle isn't a bad thing, but I don't want muscle bulk that I don't need--if I had less fat, my body would need less muscle and it would tone itself down over time.

However, because I need to retain my muscle and energy for dance, I cannot under-eat.

I'm a coffee addict and I'm not willing to give it up. DBF decided he needs to lose weight, too, so he shouldn't be too much of a difficulty. I also HATE plain water. I guess that's about it.

Good luck everyone, please wish me the same!
