Starting over... Again

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm totally new to this forum, but not at all new to trying to lose weight. I've been overweight since college and have struggled with it ever since. I've tried different diets and pills, and found that none of them really work unless your mind is in the right place.

I was a weight watcher along with my wife right before our wedding and we (mainly she) were quite successful. I had lost about 35 lbs and still needed to lose about 50 more. The problem was I did it for my wife and the wedding, not myself. So here I am two years later, with all the weight gained back (luckily not more).

I think I've finally got my head wrapped around this, and am ready to make some positive changes in my lifestyle. In truth, I have two goals here. One, to lose weight in a steady healthy manner. Two, to do it without spending any extra money on fancy foods, diets, pills, exercise equipment, or routines. I know that some of these may help, but in the end I can make all the necessary changes without spending a fortune.

I plan to use this website for some help and guidance along the way, and to keep an online diary. The diary is something new to me, but I think it will help me and maybe some other people might like to read it as well. This seems like a good, supportive community and I look forward to a positive shared experience.
