Starting over...AGAIN. *Emily's Diary*

Okay, so I have started to backslide....I was at 275 and now im back to 279, and maybe ur thinking, well thats only 5 lbs, but thats 5 lbs I could have lost. I am so sick of people seeing this huge fat blob, and nobody seeing the REAL me. I have GOT TO DO THIS! I'm in my senior year of high school, I have got to change. I realize it wont be a quick fix, but I just cant wait!! I get so anxious! Then i expect to lose all this weight, and at first you do, but then it starts slowing down, and thats normal with everyone, but it gets me discouraged. *sigh* I tried to get involved in too many challenges too, before I actually got this whole forum thing down pat, and I ended up not even finishing, so that made it worse! BUT! I AM starting over, and I WILL SUCCEED this time, even though no one is really supporting me but my boyfriend, i know yall will support me too!! Yall have been my biggest form of support and I cant tell u how much I truly do appreciate it! It feels almost as if yall are family (((((((((:)D )))))))))))))) I am starting over today, Sunday, Oct. 22, and I am gonna make it this time. Here are some of my goals~

Current Weight~ 279 :( Size 22/24

1st goal~ 270 by November 30.
2nd goal~ 265 by Christmas :)
3rd goal~ 250 by Valentines Day :p
4th goal~ 245 by St. Patrick's Day ;)
5th goal~ 240 by May 13th (My Sweeties B-Day):D
6th goal~ 230 by July 23rd (My EIGHTEENTH BDAY!) YAY!!!!:p

Okay, thats all I have for right now, and I know it is alot at one time, but I think if I plan, it might help me stay motivated, especially if I start falling behind again :) Well, thanks for viewing my Diary!!!! Come back soon! :p

attagirl... you're a smart motivated young lady.. you can do this... just take it one day at a time...

your goals are reasonable and you should be able to meet them...

good luck and we'll help along the way...
 
Thank you so much, Mal. I can't stress enough how much yall really do help!! It's just hard to remember how everybody is rootin eachother on all the time, especially days when I don't have access to a computer. I think that may be one of the reasons I couldnt keep up anymore....but I realize I can't make excuses too! I have to accept that it is my fault i am like this and I am the only one who can change it, and I have to WANT to change first :) Thanks again!!!!

Hey Em, I'm glad you're not giving up. You're right, you *only* gained 5 lbs, but that's 5 lbs you could have lost. Remember that if you get to that point again where you think you are starting to backslide...maybe you have a week where you don't lose anything. Instead of getting discouraged, think back to this week and think "well, at least I don't weigh --- lbs this week".

I hear people talk about putting time into things, and it strikes me the same way as weight loss...they complain that going to school for something would take 4 years...well, that 4 years is gonna pass whether they're in school or not, so might as well have something to show for it right? Same with us...this next year is gonna pass, so why not keep going, and lose some weight to show for it?

Sorry to babble. But this is what I've been telling myself this week. I have a little voice in my head telling me to give up...I've lost almost 20 lbs, great, that's enough. But it's not.

lol, Dari. I am always on here, it gets kinda borin, especially when not many ppl are on, of course, it is kinda early here. But hey, I just love talking/babbling to everyone, its alot of fun in my opinion. Gives me something to do when im bored, and it really bites when nobody else is on to talk to, lol, does that ever happen to u??
 
YES! I'm glad I found this site though....I have a single parents forum, and a scrapbooking forum. So between the 3, there's usually someone around, or whatever. But when there's not, I feel soooo lonely. Even though I have never met any of you:rolleyes: :)

I think its great that you are doing this. I have never been over 125, but my dad is obese.

It is really irritating because he doesn’t care about it. He just eats and eats. And whenever someone in my family says something to him he gets mad (he can be scary, he’s very big)

ANYWAY…I got a little sidetracked, sorry. I think you are a great person (from what I have seen hehe) and you deserve to be skinny!

Well thanks, and sorry about ur dad :( I kno ppl who are big, maybe not as big as me, and dont care. and i just started this time because i realized how dangerous it really is!!!!! it makes me actually feel bad for big people...I realize I have to do this this time, if not for looks, for health... :) Maybe he will change, how much does he weigh, do u kno?
 
Um I don’t exactly know, some where between 225-275(he is short for a guy, 5'8.) but the thing that worries me is he has most of his fat is in the stomach. That is the worst type of fat and he is at risk for a lot of stuff (heart attack, cancer, ect.) and he has high blood pressure.

I think that is the reason I am trying to lose weight. I don’t want to end up like him, and I continue what I was doing, I would have gained a lot of weight. (no exercising, eating chocolate, ect.)
