Starting out!

Hi Guys!

Just wanted to say hello, and that I'm starting my long journey towards losing 40 lbs, or 12% body fat whichever comes first.

40 lbs seems like a long journey, so I decided just always be looking at a smaller goal which is the next 10 lbs.

Hopefully I'll be seeing some results pretty soon.

I'm in the worst shape I've ever been :rant:

Welcome to the forum.

I am sure that you have discovered that the forum has a lot of great information - particularly in sticky threads that are well worth studying.

The best way to get support here is to make friends. We make friends by visiting each other in their diaries. I suspect that people may not find yours easily so you may miss out. It may be very much worth your while to start a diary here - even if you simply paste in the entries that you use in your other diary.

Basically visit other people's diaries and see if they visit you back - also visit people that visit you - that way you make friends. Also join in challenges and clubs and post quite often.

The people that give the least support to others tend to get the least support in return. I made lots of friends and they really helped to see me through a huge project. They still help me now in maintenance...
