Starting New

Hi Everyone, Im really excited that i stumbled across this means of weight loss support. I have been heavy my entire life and have no concept of what thin is for me. I have been on many a diet but really never worked as hard as i could have. In fact, I am your classic sabotage girl. This means, as soon as I start to do well on a diet, I panic and go back to eating poorly. Well Im almost 37 *shutter* years old and I am soooo tired of feeling crappy, tired, bloated and trapped within myself. I have a loving boyfriend of 4 years who himself had always been overweight. He lost 100 pounds on his own before i met him. Now, his old habits are revisiting him and so is some of his long lost weight. We are trying desperately to be supportive for each other, but it is difficult as we both have some of the same weaknesses when it comes to our relationship with food. Him and I had a long talk and decided we are both ready to do this.
I have never been so public about my weight issues, but I know that I will find support and comfort in meeting people that are going through the same thing.
Michelle :)

Hi Michelle and welcome to the forum!

I think talking about it helps more than anything, I know when I put on weight I ignored it and so did my family. Then one day I woke up and I was 50+ overweight! I think finding and talking to others with the same goal is going to help my focus a lot.

Here is to a having a great new year!

Thanks for the welcome

Thank you so much for your hello and kind words... I know it will be a battle, but one that's worth fighting.
Michelle :)
