At 16, your metabolism is probably burning like rocket fuel! What do you do that is active....any sports?

It has been said in this forum over and over, and I will repeat.... there are no exercises that are going to target the fat on a specific area of your body. You can't spot reduce. Sure, there is a point to lifting weights, but it certainly is not to get rid of the fat on your belly. Doing a billion situps until you are blue in the face is not the answer to getting a rock hard abdomen!

If you only have a small percentage of body fat that you need to lose, many times it is better eat in a small calorie surplus by eating numerous, healthy meals each day, and add weight training. By doing this, you will add lean muscle tissue to your body, which is metabolically active. In turn, your body will burn more calories even at rest! That is usually enough to take care of the last bit of fat.

If there is a lot of fat to lose, then your primary focus right now should be your nutrition.

So I am unsure of your exact situation, but if you provide more specific goals and details, I am sure you will get the answers you are looking for.

P.S. You mention how you get bummed and turned off from exercise the moment you stop seeing results. FYI, results are not easy to come by. It takes a lot of hard work, manipulation and dedication, and even then, they are sometimes hard to come by. You have to work through the bumps in the road. Cultivate your mind and adopt a healthy lifestyle permanently so that you are not looking for immediate results, but rather a life time of fitness and health, which WILL ultimately lead to happiness.

the problem with doing all that like healthy eating and stuff is that i dont know how to do it.I dont knwo where to start and such.and my mom wont go that far out fo her way to buy me special meals while the rest of the fam eats something else.

I play paintball once a week and i play at a competative level so my body is doing exercise like a madman.my shirts are dripping sweat when im done.
but agian once a week. if i did that like 4 times a week.oh man.

but idk whats considered alot of less fat i will see if i can get a pic.but thats mostly what i want right now.just to loose my stomach fat.!

any more help

thanks

would sit ups/and push ups do anything? like if i did a good amount everynight or something.

im really depressed bout this and idk how but i always loose motivation even thou i hate it!

My 2 cents: I think any activity you engage in provides some kind of benefit. I'm not sure what your fitness level is, but I think any fitness program (including my own) should start with walking. It's a fine exercise, and gives you a change of scenery. Get a friend to walk with you as it will help to hold your interest. If a pool's available, try swimming - see how that goes for you. You don't have to be an olympian - just get in the water and see what you can do. Then go for a little bit further/faster next time. Will include the usual disclaimer - before you do any working out, talk to your doctor first to see what he/she says about the idea, and if there's any restrictions they'd recommend.

I am not a big fan of excersies at all!!!

But I try to do my best. I feel kind of embarssied cuz I dont know how to use the stuff in the gym so that why I Just dont go to the gym at all!! I am scared to go up to the trainer and ask. I am also to scared to ask members in the gym!!

MAN I GOT TO STOP BEING SCARED!! SOMEBODY SHOULD JUST SPLAPP ME AND TELL ME TO WAKE ME UP!!!!

ANY WAY BYE

i think sit ups and push ups will definately help, but make sure u do a whole body work out, dont just focus on one area and neglect the rest, doing a whole body work out is what will help in the long run.

If you took the time to make the thread, that means you want to make a difference.
The question now is, how dedicated can you be to reach your goal? There is a really good reason that most people you see out there are not in shape. It is not easy. If you want to make the change, buckle down, focus and anything you want can happen. Just dont quit before you succeed.
If you want to learn about nutrition, check out the forum there are many posts outlining healthy diets and foods. Or, check out my site: . There are a few posts in there that might get you going in the right direction.

Only you can decide whether you are successful or not. Good luck reaching where you want to be! :D

THANS FOR ALL THE ADVICE.

ok i cant go to the gym everyday because I just dont like it there.
So can someone make me a mini workout I can do everynight or so so loose some weigh and just get some definition or whatever its called.just get some sort of bod.

any help would be awsome.Im thinking of pm trainer lynn but she looks to busy!

thanks.

losing weight is not something that can really be done quickly before bed.
It requires a controlled caloric intake and training at different times to maximize fat loss and muscle retainment.

Your body will burn fat if you put it in a situation where it does not have calories to burn, then you put your body into fat burning mode by upping your heart rate, this first burns the remaining glycogen (glucose) stores in your liver then begins BURNING FAT FOR FUEL.
The best time to do this is in the morning on an empty stomach. If you can get up nice and early, and do cardio at 75% max heart rate (or so) for about 30 mins, you will force your body to burn fat.
When you are done, wait about 30 mins at least because the effects of cardio continue even after you stop your cardio activity.

eat light, eat lots of protein, eat less carbs, stay away from very many carbs before bed.

There are tons of threads discussing how to burn fat.
Doing huindreds of situps wont do sh*t. You cannot target an area for fatloss, you must lower your overall body fat.

what is carby food?
like what should i stay away from and such.the prob is that i eat what my mom cooks.I cant just make a salad.lunch and stuff are cooked by my mom and thats the only thing in the house to eat.we have fruit and stuff but im not planing on going on a fruit only because i also dont want to be miserable.it will lead me to eating a bit of everything thus gaining more weight.

also can someone ive me a workout plan to do in the morning then.something nice and simple that will give me some results.

thanks!

Think of it this way..
What has eating what your mom cooks done for you so far? Sometimes we have to take initiative in order to promote some change. Its up to you how badly you want to change. You might have to do a little extra to succeed. There is no such thing as "nice and simple" when it comes to fitness. I dont seem to sound harsh, I just dont think you will find what you are looking for if you want something easy.

Check out the threads regarding diets and nutrition. I am sure ou can find lots of info. Or check out my site, I have some info that you could utilize to develop a healthier diet. Maybe educating yourself about different foods will give you a better outlook on fitness overall. What you eat plays a MAJOR role in your progress.

Good luck!

my mom feeds me healthy.salad steaks ect.sometimes she will do pasta and whatnot. its that i sometimes eat a bit to much.and sometimes i just take a bit from everything every now and then:) .

im willing to reduce my portions but again i cant go on a out of the way diet that will go against everything in my house.again i cant have my mom make two diff lunches.but she cooks healthy and balanced.salad good portions of other foods.

Ill check out ur site but now what should i do as far as exercise goes.
