Hey everyone.. around three weeks ago i finally decided to make some serious changes. I have never been an active person but decided to start walking/ jogging. I have been gradually running and i now feel much fitter, have been doing this 4 times a week for around 45- mins to an hour and i have changed my eating habits .. no junk food and eating much healthier .. i weighed myself three weeks ago before i started this and have weighed myself today and i have gained 7 lbs ?? i am really confused, i thought by starting to make exercise part of my daily routine and eating right weight would start to come off but its the exact the opposite.. i feel like i have lost motivation to keep it up .. please help ?

How many calories are you eating per day? Though eating healthier foods you still have to watch out not to eat too much.

around 1500 which is much less than i used to, i used to just eat what i want and when i want. im really confused as to why i have gained this much in only 3 weeks?

You simply cannot gain 7 pounds of fat if you are eating 1,500 calories AND workingout as much as you are, it is literally impossible so, this tells me it is probably a water thing.

Did you eat a really salty meal? Have you eaten turkey or ham? Both are very sodium rich and lots of sodium = LOTS of water weight for a few days until you even out your fluid intake. I suggest eating a day very low in sodium along with drinking at least 2L of water and the next day or so you should see all of the 7 pounds go away if it is, in fact, water weight.
