Started losing weight!

Hello there everyone.

I'm Grayer, nice to meet you. I just started losing weight this week(though there's not much weight to lose). My only problem is that there are a few areas on my body that has stubborn fat particularly my arms, waist, abs, thigh and glutes.

Before I go on I must give you some information about me

Gender: Male
Age: 17
Height: 5"3'
Weight: 114.8lbs
Daily calorie intake: 1200
Equipments available: Fitness ball, push up supporters(that's what I call it), dumbells and those bar thingies with weights on the side that you use for squats(sorry, don't know what they're called)

I heard that I should have a daily calorie deficit in order to lose fat. How much calories should I cut off?

As you can see, I don't have any equipment for any cardio workout here at home. What should I do for my cardio exercise?

What should I do for my weight training? I want to achieve those hot abs that everyone's craving for, while having a toned body. What exercises should I do for starters?

What kind of food should I eat to lose fat?

I have whey protein available here at home, is it good for supporting muscle gain?

Is my daily calorie intake safe for me? Or is it too little to support my daily activities?

Thank you.

Simplest option for cardio would be to run outside.

Your calorie intake is WAY too low. You are eating below your basal metabolic rate. You should be eating at LEAST 1,500 calories a day, and 2,000 is probably more like it.

This post from my blog may help:

I agree. 1,200 is too low for a 17 year old male at your height.

Question though: are both of your parents on the shorter side? if not (i.e. they are average or 'tall') then you might want to see your doctor. I had a friend who was much shorter than his parents when he was 19, and couldn't gain any weight (especially lean muscle) His doctor found his test levels were lower than average, so he got hormone therapy and now 11 years later I don't even recognize the guy! He's taller than me by a couple inches and really bulked up (he was thin as a rail before).

May or may not have anything to do with your situation, but I like to mention these things, since sometimes it isn't your fault...your body can fight you every step of the way.
