Splenda

I have been looking through the search option for abit on splenda and it seems there is so much debate on wether splenda is good or bad its just confused me!

All this thread is about (I'm hoping) is getting a straight answer from some people who know abit on this subject.

Is splenda good, or is it bad?

Thankyou :D

Yeh, but from the research ive done splenda just doesnt get absorbed by the body...just passes through, like fibre i guess, so it doesnt seem all that bad.

But i am still confused on wether to take it or not.

nah its sum asian product or sumink accually called coke flavoured with splenda... but on that subjet YUM coke zero is the best!!! im addicted :p

lol, ive seen it in the shop with its fancy black bottle, but im not falling for it :p even if it says no sugar...still got that yucky fat storing stuff in it.

Im going to the shops today, i need to know wether to get this stuff or not?

My guess is that if they are alowed to freely sell this product in supermarkets without any warning on the packets then its ok to use.

ok, but one more question, how come on this forum and all the other fitness ones they have always said they use splenda instead of sugar and not said they use any other type of artificial sweetner?

I'm not quite sure why so many use splenda. I assume it's about the same reason why we saw so much nutrasweet being used for awhile even though we knew that the stuff was crap. Or how so many supplements were using aspartame for awhile even though we knew that aspartame was horrible for you.

Splenda is triple chlorinated and it is not a natural sugar derivative.

So what would be your number 1 choice for both taste and quailty? I'll probably use what you recommend my next batch of protein.

Well i got Splenda today  lol and it tastes great, and i looked at stevia in the shops also today, but u only have to use like a pinch of it for a teaspoon of sugar.

So if u want one that ucan use like sugar, i say go for splenda, just my opinion. :D
