Speed Kicking?

What is the best exercise to kick faster, i do Deep Knee Bends, Jumping Squats, Squats, Lunge and Raise on toes

And "Shadow" Kicking

Kick alot and kick fast. As your muscles grow accustomed to the motion they will get better.

I guess it really depends on the martial art in question.

But universally, developing a fluent technique should facilitate both speed and power. I'm a big believer in technique before anything else.

One thing that helped me get faster kicking was not soo much on concentrating on getting the kick up and to the target, but more so concentrating on getting it back to the ground as quick as possible... if you think about that... the rest usually takes care of itself...

This is going to sound weird, but work out kicking slowly once a week.

Go through your kicks, kicking as high as you can moving as absolutely slow as you can. Maintain perfect balance and technique. Hold the extended kick for 5 seconds, then lower it equally slowly.

Do that till you can't do it anymore with both legs.

That will significantly strengthen the stabilizing muscles involved in kicking. That will give you a great platform from which to build speed. You can't be fast if you don't have technique first.

Speed kicking ......yeah that rings the bell i use to play a game taken 3, there was a character named horang,... i think you really need to see his moves...they're awesome.

When I trained MMA the instructor used a drill where your opponent would stand in front of you and you'd do a fairly quick kick at the person, a middle kick or a leg kick to the outside of their thigh for example. You stop the kick at the point of contact and reverse the kicking motion to push yourself back to the start as fast as you can. Try like 5 kicks to the outside thigh, 5 to the mid section/torso and use this. Then try some full strength on a heavy bag. If you have proper form to begin with you'll see the improvements immediately. Good luck.
