Sport south beach for marathon runner?

Sport Fitness
About two weeks ago I decided to try the South Beach diet in an effort to lose a little weight. I want to lose about 10 pounds. The problem now is that I have just started to train for a marathon. I know I need some carbs for energy, but by adding them back into my diet will I stop my weight loss. Is there a way I can lose weight, conserve energy, and be able to run a healthy marathon?

if u are training for an actual full marathon, then you will be running everyday and burning about 4,000 cal. so you shouldn't worry too much about your carb intake because u will be burning it all of and then some. My uncle ran the boston marathon last year, so i know what kind of training he went through and that his daily food intake was well above mine.
