Soreness

Hey, just turned 15 over the summer, and since July '06 ive started working out pretty seriously... 5 ft 11', 150 lbs. anyways my question is that for the first two months of working out i would get sore almost after every workout, and i knew it was a good thing because it meant my muscles had been progressively overloaded and that it was growing. I also have seen progressive gains in the amount of weight I use, which is pretty chill. Howevr, in the past month of workin out i noticed im not getting sore anymore, and i was wonderin if thats a bad thing? maybe my muscles have adapted to the workout routine and that i need to trick it by changing my routine up? maybe i should start building supersets, pyramids, or compound sets into my workout? anyways thanks in advance for all the help:cool:

Only post it once.

No, just because you aren't sore anymore, that doesn't mean that you are not lifting well. If you've been doing the same excercises for the past months, then yes, try new things. I try to change my excercises at least every month, so that I keep my body guessing and not letting it adapt too much to a certain routine. I don't get sore unless I do things the wrong way. If you were getting sore after 2 months of doing the same routine, then you might have been overtraining.

As said before, "soreness is not a good indicator of a good workout". If you have been sore every workout after 2 months, you are overloading your muscles a LOT. You don't necessarily have to change routines if you don't wish to, rather change the reps/sets if you are in a ditch or have a different goal.
