Hey there, i'm a soon-to-be mother of 2. I have a 19 month old daughter and am almost a week overdue with my second. I was 15lbs heavier when I got pregnant with my second than I was with my first, so between that and the weight I've gained this time around I've got a fair ammount to loose. Mainly I'm just looking for some support and motivation to keep me working towards loosing the weight and getting back to my normal size.

hey there :)

dont worry about it. u dont have much to lose. when your second child is finally born, make sure u breastfeed if u can. that burns a good amount of fat. and eat what the breast feeding books say is a good amount for you. or ask the pediatrition, or gyno. anyways, u should be able to melt away some good fat while nursing your baby. its EXCELLENT for them, and the benefits are great. you body stored that fat for a reason, and why not burn more? dont eat toooooooo much fat tho. and take it easy, your body needs to heal, im sure u know all of this tho. i wish u all the luck. take advantage of this time. watch what u eat, and burn that extra fat, jsut by breastfeeding! it will take awhile, but in the end the overall loss will be pretty sweet :) take care, and i wish u all the luck with EVERYTHING! your about to be very busy :)

good luck with the birth of your second child, I hope it makes an appearance soon - it's gotta be uncomfortable.

take time to recover from the birth and bond iwth your child -and you'll find lots of support here to get you back to where youo want to be

thanks for the encouragement.

Emma606-I breastfed my first, and surprisingly, it didn't do anything as far as weightloss. I watched what I ate, stayed active, but I didn't loose anything until I weaned my daughter and started a more strict diet. I fully intend on breastfeeding this time too, but I'm not holding my breath for weightloss because of it. I think I'm just going to try and do what I did last time, only a little more(be more careful about what I eat and do a bit more activity each day). which shouldn't be too hard since I'll have a toddler to chase around this time! :)

maleficent-thanks for the well wishes for this birth. I hope it's soon too! I went 2 weeks over due with my first, and so far it looks like I'm in for the same thing this time.
