hello everybody,
Just to give you a little background about me:
i'm 37 years old, mother of two boys-10 and 15 years.
As a teenager a was a little overweighted, but since age of 17 i am proud to say that i only gained 4 pounds.
I don't do nothing special, no diet, no exercises, eat what i want and when i want, day or night, i'm crazy about chocolate and almost never touch fruits.
I do however, apply some simple rules on a daily basis;
never eat fast foods, snacks, hydrogenated oils, soy, white bread, margarine, and milk(only in my coffee).
whenever a can walk,i walk, i swim, dance, and i do it but only because i like it, not because i have to.
the only supplements i take are algae(chlorella and spirulina) unprocessed from a Japanese source
three things are never missing on my table: green tea, lemon and honey.
I own all this to a very good friend, who gave me those simple rules and told me that i would never have weight problems if i keep them. And so it is.
I was always amazed about others people struggle with weight, about counting calories, getting obsessed about diets and stuff like that.
Until my older son started to gain weight, 3 years ago. And he got really big.
I can't apply those rules to him, since he lives on junk food, carbonated drinks and snacks. He wouldn't touch home food, unless is fries or spaghetti. He dies for dairy. So what to do?
You know, i understood very fast that forcing him into a diet won't help. The moment he will walk out the door is all lost.
So i went to the extreme. I started a detox and colon cleanse program, three full months, no mercy.I won't tell which program, because i don't promote nothing here, there are plenty out there. I made a deal with him, or those 3 months of suffering, and then is over, or a life time of obesity and struggle to get rid of it. And he is a handsome proud boy, so we went for the 3 months deal.
All family did it with him to support him. There was almost no food in fridge for three months, only fruits, vegetable and raw meet for cooking. We didn't went out almost at all, not to be tempted. It wasn't easy at all, i can tell you that, but we all sticked to it. 3 full months.
After three months we start to introduce slowly our usual food, one at the time, every few days. But the results were amazing. He lost weight, and kept losing for few months after that. Today is a normal looking boy, not a pound more than he should weight. He slept better, focused much better at school, get rid of some (imaginary, in my opinion,) ADHD symptoms. For sure he was more calm and manageable.
Today is taking only omega3 and algae pills. Still eating the same junk, but it seems that his body can control it. Makes sport and have a girlfriend.
My wonder is how come people here don't even consider detox and colon cleanse. They are not aware of how effective it is, not only for losing weight, but for keeping it that way? For overall health?I think you should have a forum section for that and to try at least to introduce people to this option. I know there are colon cleanse forums, but those people are already aware of this tool. Here is a tremendous need for a fast, effective and sure way to lose weight, and i think that maybe some people would take the deal that my son took. I understand that diets should be long term in order to be effective, if they will be effective. But before even consider a diet, is not logical to remove all the toxins and debris, for the body to have a chance to work better in burning that fat and processing the nutrients?
Just wondering, you know. Maybe i miss something here. I am just sorry to see so many people trying so hard, when i know it can be easier.
I would still like to know if somebody is thinking like me.
All my friends that i tried to explain them how simple it was, were in shock. Three months of extreme restrain seems impossible. But how is living a life time of frustrations and blame, and no self-appreciation, and unfulfilled dreams, just because overweight? I still have to listen to all their " you don't know how it is". Of course not. Because i don't want to know how it is, i didn't want my son to know how it is. And i did what i had to do to never find out "how it is to be fat".As simple as that.
Because the principle is simple: if your body is not doing his job, something is stopping him. Remove the cause of malfunction and your body will do the rest alone. Human body is a perfect mechanism who needs only 2 things in order to function perfectly: to be nourished and cleansed. If he is not working properly ( aka store fat) then one of this conditions, or both, is not there. Do those 2 things properly and your body will be perfect. Will heal and correct himself naturally, without you having to struggle.
So this is my story. And i would be glad if at least some of you, after reading this post, will try to consider this option. If will find in it some support and encouragement.
I will stick around, so if you have something to say, or to ask, i'll be glad.
All my best to you all,
Max
