Somebody tell me this won't happen overnight please...

Not a new member but I've been away for over a year now. I just started my third week tonight and actually got on the scale for the first time in months. I was shocked at how much more I weighed than what I was expecting. When I look in the mirror, it truly disgusts me. I went running tonight and couldn't even go 1/4 mile without having to stop. My legs are still sore from last nights run, I want everyday to be a positive day towards weight loss. I don't see any progress at all since I started. I want to quit. I've been burning more calories than I've been taking in. Can you tell I need some encouragement. Help?:mad:
 
Well, it definately doesn't happen overnight. You said you haven't weighed in months and you've just been at this for three weeks. Did you take measurements? If not, then how do you know you haven't made any progress in the last three weeks? Don't be discouraged just because you can't see a different yet. It does take time. Keep with it.
