hi, i'm a bit confused about what's going on with my body. recently, i've been working out a bit and eating healthier but my abdominal area (the fat) has become softer and even looks like there's more =/ . i stopped working out for a few days because of midterms but am still eating healthy. does anyone know what's going on?

thank you

Well I dont know what it is, it could just be the fat going away, making the skin looser, making it seem softer. maybe Im wrong, just stick with the diet and excercise and itll go away, be consistent

Errtu, I hate to say it but your probably right lol. ;)
thats pretty much whats happening but if you keep at it it'll work its self out.
keep eating healthy and exercising and itll get better :)

you may just be a bit bloated too ? Are you taking any protein supplements? Some people have adverse effects to the stuff, especially if it's not quality ...

i'm currently not taking any supplements at all, howeover i'm currently a vegetarian (and is probably why I snack on junk food a lot more), do you suggest I go on anything?

also, i'm currently 21, if the flab is skin becoming looser, will that ever go away?

thank you

make sure you moisturize you skin LIKE CRAZY!! I suggest the Body Shop's body butters, or maybe some aloe vera stuff. Whatever it is, make sure you moisturize A LOT so your skin gets more elasticity so it will be firmer. If you have a lot to lose, then maybe you should get a tummy tuck or something.

I've heard that fat usually gets a bit softer as it "melts" away =) so just keep with it. Also, if you are looking for a really good lotion for toning your skin Jergens has a skin firming lotion that is really great, and Suave has a knock off brand. I would suggest however that you just keep doing what you are doing. Also, because you are younger, your skin is automatically more elastic... you should be fine =)

i also notice (before working out), some people have harder fat and others have softer fat (in abdonmial area). does anyone know the difference? thanks

your young enough to where itll fix itself, unless youve lost a massive amount of weight itll tighten up for ya. I have personally not heard of this "hard" fat but its probably because they just have less and your feeling either thicker skin, or theres less fat in front of muscle

my dad has hard fat.... he has this huge gut, but if you touched it, it's not flabby at all... it's solid... i don't know what the explanation for it is, but i think i understand what you mean...
