So, What do you eat???

is apples bad to eat before u go to bed, i sure hope not i just ate one. Beause i cant go to bed on a hungry stomach that is growlin i wont be able to sleep. SOoo??
 
thanks spock. saw a thing on history channel about herophilus. seemed appropriate, coming from a guy from a time when your body was pretty much all you owned.
 
#1 - 1 cup Egg Beaters, Oatmeal w/ 1 tbsp Natural PB and 1/4 cup Natural Applesauce mixed in, 1/2 grapefruit

#2 - 1/2 cup Cottage cheese, 3/4 cup Kashi go lean (dry), Orange

#3 - 4 oz grilled chicken breast, 1 cup brown rice, 1 serv of a green vegetable (usually broccoli or brussel sprouts)

#4 - 4 oz grilled chicken breast, 3/4 Kashi, 2 cups salad (lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, onion, no dressing)

#5 - 2 oz grilled salmon, 6 oz yams (boiled), 1 serv of green veg

#6 - 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 2 cups salad (this time w/ 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil), 1/2 grapefruit

Dinner i have a variety of dinners sometimes i have some lean cuisne's, tonight i had a bag of veggies n chicken (so delicous) then some other nights i have steak, chicken breasts, fish with wild rice, veggies and almost every night i eat a baked potato (i think they are good for you hopefully)

9-9:30
Snack: Apple, Banana, or an orange

OH yes i have a question are homemade mashed potatoes bad for you?
i'm not seeing any protein in your most of your meals :(
 
isnt chicken and steak protein? Well what i am i suppose to eat for lunch when i only usually eat a salad? i guess ill start taking my lunches
 
Yea man even though i dont really like the tase of cottage cheese i got some tonight and im gonna try mixing stuff with it to better the taste for me. The last time i tried it was when i was younger but maybe ill like it...see i dont like cheese all that great on like on salads and when its mozeralla or swiss...then i dont really like milk only when its added to stuff and in cereal i cant drink it plain unless its loaded with chocalate but yet i dont do that anymore.

You could try fruit, I used to love pineapple or peaches in my cottage but you could also try strawberry or blueberry etc...
 
Breakfast - 2 Eggs , oatmeal , almond butter, Protein shake

Morning snack - Fruit/yogurt , Protein bar

Lunch - Tuna , rice , vegetable/fruit , glass of milk

afternoonish - Myo-plex (MRP), peanuts/or 1or2 tbsp of nat peanut butter

Dinner - Chicken breast/ steak / or salmon with either rice or potatoes.

Night snack - cottage cheese , nat peanut butter , Protein shake

I go for around 240-250g protein
About 200-250carbs (most post-workout) (Stop carbs after 5 or 8pm..depends when my day starts)
Aim for about 50g of fat, keeping saturated to a complete minimal.

Train HIIT upon waking up every off day (3-4days)... Workout 3-4 times a week.

What could i mix with tuna to make me like the taste of it a little bit better. I like tuna salad with noodles n mayo n that stuff but i dont eat that anymore because of the mayo.

I like tuna w/ chopped celery, lemon juice, and A LOT of chopped red onion.
 
what the hell is large curd cottage cheese? ive always gotten small curd. if its large curd, will those little chunks in cottage cheese be larger than small curd? mm i love cottage cheese

manderus, i think your diet sounds pretty good, actually. i know that several people here will probably disagree with me, but eating the frozen dinners you mentioned once in awhile isnt bad, IMO. nor is special k cereal. in order for a diet to work well and be something you can continue doing it has to be somewhat appealing, wouldnt you agree? yes it's possible to eat perfect food all the time nutritional-wise, but it's also very monotonous and hard to keep for some people - like my wife and i. you have to enjoy things a bit, too. if i have any advice to give it would be to add exercise to your diet - running, pushups, crunches, pull-ups etc. you dont have to go hog-wild but do that at least twice a week and watch your diet as you're doing and you'll be in good shape. :)
 
Well, here is todays menu - what do you think:
1 - 2 packs of low sugar maple oatmeal and 2% milk

2 - snack - golden delicious apple and water

3 - chicken and cheese quesadillas (2 wheat tortillas, 2 boneless skinless chicken breast strips, mexican mix shredded cheese), light ranch dressing for dipping. George formanized hamburger patty (if I am still hungry) - Diet Dr. Pepper - desert 1 Little Debbie reduced fat maple cream pie

4 - snack - 1 cup CHEX MIX sweet and salty (reduced fat) and water

5 - white rice mixed with sweet peas, carrot slices and canned chunk chicken - sweet tea

6 - golden delicious apple before bed and water

I am also drinking rasberry flavored Aquafina water sweetened with sucralose (splenda brand)

So - what do ya'll think? I figured the one little debbie would cure my sweet tooth as well as the CHEX mix
