So I'm a noob looking for supplement advice

I'd really prefer to not have to eat more than 3 meals a day - if I had to eat like 8 times a day then I just won't do it - no, not because I'm stubborn, but just because I know what my schedule is like and I know there just isn't enough time for it.

If it helps, I really don't want to get that 'big'... I can live without looking like I'm stacked from top to bottom with muscle - I'd just like to put on enough muscle so that I don't look skinny, but more importantly just not look so damn flabby this summer on the beach.

I've been doing basic weight lifting exercises at home for about 2 weeks - about 30 minutes a day.

Again, I know that's not up to some of your standards, but I have to stay realistic here to keep a schedule and diet that doesn't require me to give up half my free time in order to maintain.

What got me thinking about supplements was some guy on a car forum I frequent posted he's starting a new company with a nutrition product:
To me his site looks way too amateurish to make me feel confident that his product is the best for me or is really safe, but it did make me start wondering - if not his product, then what?

I remember back in the day taking creatine, androstein, and protein, but I'm sure the landscape has changed quite a bit, and I also had a lot more time to dedicate to my physique back then... plus I was young and not married so it also mattered a lot more.:D

Thanks for any help you guys might have.

For the best results you should eat 5-6 times a day. That doesn't mean that you won't get results eating 3x a day, it just means that you'll be getting better results eating more often.

That's not a problem. Just go to the GNC and pick up some meal replacement bars. If you don't have the time or resources available to prepare a normal meal then meal replacements are the way to go. I prefer real food but I too find myself out of time sometimes and substitute w/ a meal replacement.

Eating 6 times a day is good for general nutrition, it's not just for people who want to be big. There are many lightweight, lean athletes who eat up to 6X a day.

Can you post what your workout looks like?

I took a look at the website and if I were you I'd stick with the better known supplement companies like BSN, Optimum Nutrition, and Cytosport.

Androstene? Isn't that a steroid? Are you sure you're a "noob"?

You don't have to give up half of your free time to maintain. You're already working out 3.5 hours a week. You could do 3 full body workouts, an hour at a time 3 days a week, eat well and and get the results you need. Yes, it takes effort and yes it takes consistency, but that's up to you. Doing these things alone will do more than any supplement with an ok diet and a half hearted routine.
