i just recently went snowboarding and i will be going again tomorrow.. it will be my third time. The first 3 hours of the first day was horrible... i fell about every 5 - 10 feet... i clipped a few ppl causing a few to crash.. i was ready to quite.. but then around the 4th hour i started to catch on and by the end of the day i was able to make it down the mountain only falling once or twice and in control. I love it now and im going on a regular basis...anyway the point that i was getting to is that snowboarding is a great workout.. yea at the end of my first day and the following day... i literally could not walk without being in major pain.. i believe i had doms.. and i ached all over my body..but i read that snowboarding for 3 hours consistently you burn around 1,500 cals... now im not sure how accurate that is.. so i say i burned around 1000. All in all its a great workout and lots of fun.
