Snacks for bulking

I'm trying to find some good I can make or just buy packaged that will be good on the go. Something I can throw in my backpack to eat in class. I'm not gonna go to Subway anymore (I only ate meatball or chicken parmesan subs anyways).

I'm trying to eat lots, lots of meals through out the day to help metabolism and whatnot, but also get lots of food in me to help my bulking process.

Any tips for health bars?
trail mix? is it good?
make sandwiches?
other?

suggestions please.

I'd say any healthy sandwiches you can make would be a good start, i have cottage cheese, sliced chicken breast, a slice of lean ham and salad in wholemeal bread at least 2-3 times a day. Also sunflower seeds are a good, easy snack to have with you.

Otherwise, if you have a bit of money you could look into some protein bars or meal replacement bars - these look good:

I make these things I call peanut butter balls; they are a mixture of Grape Nuts cereal (2 cups), peanut butter (1 cup or more), and honey (4-6 tablespoons).Mix it up evenly and then roll them into whatever shape you want. You can form them as bars, like a regular power bar, or just roll them up into balls about the size of a golf ball (which is what I usually do).I then refrigerate them for about an hour or two, which helps them adhere to the shape I made them. Then just dump them in ziplock bags or roll them up in aluminum foil. They don't need to be refrigerated but that is where I keep a batch after I have made it.

Grape Nuts is pretty high in carbs (47g per 1/2 cup) with a fair amount of protein (7g per half cup) and the peanut butter ups the protein as well.I've found them to be good for a snack or a quick breakfast.

You could also make your own trail mix by throwing some peanuts, raisins, walnuts and dried apricots in a ziplock bag for a fair mix of protein and carbs.

Beef jerky is great, Tho it is quite expensive.

Its natural, no prep time, has a 3yr shelf life, 30g of protien/50g pack!!!!!!!!
