slowly becoming out of shape

any help on this would be great

I used to skateboard pretty much everyday, pretty much go out at 9 - 10 in the morning and not come back till 11 on my days off and skated most of the day after work. And although i've never thought it as being something to keep healthy I just started to notice

I've not skated in well over 7 months, or if I have its only been short little blasts, but now whenever I get out the top of my legs ache sometimes, not everytime, but they can really start to restrict my leg movements so I can't do some of the stuff I used to.

also I get out of breathe within a few minutes of being on my board and have to take a sit down, I really want to start again

Should I say start jogging or something to get my body used to it again and burn off some fat then try and skate... or just keep going out as much as possible until I feel it come back

any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Just start skateboarding like you have. If you're goal is to be able to skateboard again and not necessarily be in better overall shape then cross training will only get u there slower. If you have to sit, then sit, but get up and get going after a couple of breaths.

It's not about what you do when you train, it only matters how much effort you put in (correct answer 100%)

Make sure you do some light skating or plyometrics to warm up and do static stretches when you're finished.
