i try my best to walk 2 miles every day, but the today's and yesterday's forecasts have been rain rain rain.

on days such as these, when i can't walk, should i cut calories accordingly? or should i keep up, assuming that the walking in general has given my metabolism an overall slight boost, even on days i'm not walking?

But you can also exercise inside your house. Try seat ups or aerobics. I know this might help you to burn fats.

well i do jumping jacks, situps, and pushups everyday regardless.. i have been for the past year. so it's a staple anyway.

but it probably doesn't burn many calories like walking.

Missing a few days here and there shouldn't inhibit your overall weight loss plan. I would only adjust your food intake if you find you are less hungry.
