Skin removal op

Hi there folks

i was 33 stone. now down to 17 st 12 lbs as of last week.

my target is 13 - 14 st . i have to get a operation to remove all my skin because i was so overweight for so long. now the skin could weigh from 2- 3 stone even more. I was going to get down to 14 then get operation but i dont wanna be underweight. any thoughts on what i should do? anyone been through this?

kinda nervous but so happy that i am going to be normal again

I'd say give it some time to shrink back before you do this. I guess skin shrinks back a bit on it's own. I'm sure your doctors would know more about this than I do.

Congratulations on your weight loss!!!

From all I know, you'll have to wait a while after losing weight until doctors consider skin removal and the likes. Over here I think it is 2 years, to give the skin time to recover, see how much it can repair itself, and also, as mean as it sounds, because they want to be sure that you can keep the weight off.

If I were you, I would continue doing what you're doing until you're at a weight you feel comfortable with. Don't get hung up on numbers too much, listen to your body instead.
