Skillet Meals

Since I don't have to cook for anyone else but am living with my parents, it has been hard for me to eat healthy dinners. (my parents don't eat much of anything healthy) So I was wondering if any of you have tried the newer skillet meals that are available in the grocery stores? I have had a few and they seem wonderful! Low fat, low calories, and pretty high in fiber, not to mention easy to fix. Do you think this may be a good choice for me?

In the past, I'ved like the Green Giant Chicken & Cheesy Pasta, to which I add some extra vegetables. You have to be careful with portion size, though - I'll add a can of corn or a bag of peas (so another ~250 calories) to a batch, and we still split it two ways, which comes out to ~650 calories per "real life" serving. High in sodium, but sodium doesn't bother me.

They have too much carb (and not enough fiber) and not enough protein for the macronutrient ratios I aim for now. But if they fit the calorie and macronutrient goals you're looking for, I say go for it.

since it's packaged, they'd be pretty high in sodium, effects some, not all bt I prefer to stay away from it.

Plus they tend to be expensive for what you get -just buy some veggies and some protein and you get better quality, more quantity for a better price..
