Posted on my diary!

SirK,

You might want to set your goals a little higher, like twenty pounds less, or fifteen pounds less than today ... for at the end of July. Because if you don't lose those 45 pounds by the end of July, you might become sad and broken hearted and trust me... thats the worst when you are losing weight. Than you have to hold yourself high and tell yourself ... "I can Do It!"
But I lose on average four to five pounds a month. When you are bigger you lose weight faster, it might come flying off...

but as you lose weight your body adjusts and plateaus start showing up and thats where a lot of people get discouraged, but please don't. Keep going. If you don't make your goal weight, or not even close, by the end of July, look at what you have lost and fill your cup of water half full!

thanks for posting in my journal.
Keep it up .. I love hearing all your stories..
Keep treaking... You can do it SirK!

Congrats on the loss, SirK! Isn't it just the best feeling in the whole world? Well, maybe not THE best, but it's sure pretty nice :) Keep up the excellent work, and like Natalie said, don't get discouraged if you don't make your goal exactly, because progress is progress is progress and you'll get there if you stick to it.

Welcome to WLF. So nice to meet you.

Like M2M told me in the beginning, its all about finding what works for you.
She said weight loss is one meal, one day at a time.

I just find that charting my calories, though its a bother some days, gives me a feeling of success each day and that matters to me when the scale moves slower than I'd like.

Eating daintily rocks. Its about self-love. As long as you get the information you need.

Think of food as fuel and get your rewards elsewhere.

Great to have you aboard.

How are you? :)

How are you SirK?

How is your treadmill doing? The work outs must be really intense ...

best wishes

Thanks Solaani - It IS the BEST feeling in the world! :)

I like your 2nd to last sentence. Really does sum it up. Alot of people use food as a reward and not a fuel. I found myself doing this alot before. I also used it as a bordem fixer. All of which is bad bad bad! Now I use it as fuel :)

I am doing good nataliejo. I don't do the treadmill on the weekends as I don't want my body getting used to that right now. So I watch what I eat and only work out during the weekdays. It all has to do with platues. If I workout during the weekend, my body gets used to it and wants it. Then when I hit a wall, I have to increase my workout (including the weekends) and double up. Right now, if I hit a wall, I add a weekend day or days and keep going.

At least, that is my logic. Could be flawed but I think I am pretty close on that one :)

How are things going with you?

Ok, I am having a craving - a Cheese Burger! Can I have one?? Or is that a no no?

Just a bun - pattie - slice of cheese - some ketchup. OMG that sounds soo good!

How did you do with your craving hun? Were you able to make it with only one cheeseburger. Having one once in a while... like once a week, won't kill you. It might make it easier to lose weight, because you will have filled your craving than back to the good food you eat ...

sometimes we fall into the pit of food ...but we get back up ...

I was looking into this earlier. I figure, a hamburger with cheese and no bread and some potato salad should be just fine :) This will be dinner tomorrow.

Yesterday I had the most delicious burgers ever! Probably because I had a really big craving for them. I thought really hard about the best way to get a burger, but still keep the calories low.

Here is what I did -

I originally was going to use potato buns for my bread because they were only 130 cals per bun. However, while shopping yesterday - I found some buns made by Pepridge Farm that are whole wheat white and they are only 100 CALS!! I was stoked. Here is the breakdown..

Bun - 100cal
Turkey Burger - 100cal
Cheese (swiss and american) - 90/110cal
A1 Steak Sauce - 10cal I think?
Potato Salad - 120cal
Corn On The Cob - ?

So for approx 760cals - I had 2 Turkey Burgers with cheese, a1 sauce on a bun, 1 cord on the cob (whole ear) and a 1/2 cup of potato salad.

This was dinner btw. In total I probably had around only 1500 cals that day :) SWEET isn't it! So, go - SPLURGE and try one yourself.

For dinner today, I had 1 ear of corn, 1 hard boiled egg and 2 mamwich sandwiches. Yup, you read that right. Only 180 cal per sandwich! MMMM... so delicious. Again, another meal hits the spot!

Damn this is fun. Oh, also did my 1 mile on the treadmill. Had to kick up the elevation from 0.5 to 2.0 to make me sweat. So I now know my body is adjusting slowly to my schedule. I need to keep changing things up a bit.

I also have to say its so nice not eating huge meals at the end of the day anymore. I eat less, I am hungry less, I eat ALOT better. I have saved tons of money by not spending 30/40 bux a day on eating out (usually more). All my meals are home cooked, delicious and filling. It is really nice.

I decided that after I reach my goal weight, I will have a piece of cake or a krispy kreme. Have not decided yet :D

Just stopping in to say hello. Everything is on track and I am keeping up with things. No splurging or binging. However, the only thing I did do different - was have a piece of coconut cake - Yesterday was my birthday. I figured it would not hurt. I had a nice sliver. Very delcious, very rich. I have gotten used to not eating sugary foods.

Other than that - I am doing great. Hope everyone else is going ok. 15lbs gone in about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks - not too bad. If all goes well and things keep progressing - I should reach my goal weight as planned! :jump:
