Supplements Are...Supplements

Robert,

Before taking any supplement, you need to first work on consistently eating a balanced, nutritious meal every 3-4 hours. You stated that you don't eat regularly. Taking a monster protein bar is not going to help you reap the physical benefits of meal timing. The body functions optimally with 4-6, balanced, supportive meals every 3-4 hours.

Work on eating consistently. Protein bars could be used to fill in for one of the meals, but the rest should be "real" food. Instead of buying 18 bars for $58, spend it on some healthy foods. Remember, people have been able to achieve optimal health and fitness without fancy supplements.

I agree..there's no 'magic food' for us. protein bars are handy snacks for people who work at jobs where a 'whole food' meal isn't an easy option.

however, you can get 3 boxes of Kong bars online for $20 - that's 36 bars for 20 bucks. 30g of protein per bar, which is all you need unless you're a heavyweight bodybuilder.
