Should I drink coffee or tea?

I really like to have coffee in the morning for breakfast and sometimes also in the afternoon. But one of my friends told me yesterday that coffee has a very negative effect on my weight loss. She said that tea would be much better. Would you agree with her? Because I don't see a difference between these drinks concerning the calories.
 
Coffee is a duiretic.. which if anything has a positive effect in that you'll shed some water weight -not really encouraged though to lose weight that way...

Green tea is considered healthier than coffee, though I have a plethora of articles extolling the benefits of coffee - and how it's good for the brain and such - but I refuse to give up my 3 cup a day habit...

the problem that some people have with coffee is what's put into it - if you can drink it black -then you're better off but its the cream and sugar that add in a ton of calories...

Water is best but coffee won't kill you.. in fact I might have to kill the person who takes my coffee away
