I am currently trying to lose weight to get into the army. I have already lost about 20 pounds and have about 20 to go. I am getting ready to switch my workout routine to add some strength and core exercises. I am unsure if I should be taking protein with the kind of workouts I will be doing. Will it even help? I will list below what I will be doing.
Monday - Wednesday - Friday
In and Out – 25x
Seated Bicycle – 25x
Seated Crunchy Frog – 25x
Wide Leg Sit-Ups – 25x
Fifer Scissors – 25x
Hip Rock n’ Raise – 25x
Pulse Up – 25x
Crunches – 25x
Cross Crunches – 25x
Mason Twist – 25x
Run For 30 Minutes
Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday
Wide Arm Push-Ups – 10x
Regular Push-Ups – 10x
Diamond Push-Ups – 10x
Chair Dips – 10x
Cobras – 10x
Chin-Ups – 5x
5 Sets of Each ^^^^^^^^^^
Run for 30 Minutes
That is my plan for right now anyways. So would protein help at all, or would fit make me gain weight. I have a very strict diet that I stick to. My body will only allow me to lose about ten pounds or so and then I hit a wall. To fix this, I eat normal but healthy for one day, eat light the next two days, and then fast the next day. Please don't judge, that is just how my body seems to work. Anyways back on topic. Should I being drinking protein shakes? Also, any other tips would be great. Thanks
