Hi Guys/Gals,
I’d thought I would put fingers to keyboard and type something about myself for you. I am 37 years old and I live on the east coast of the United Kingdom. You will have probably noticed that my ‘Username’ is a bit pithy but this is the bare truth of it and describes my condition exactly – even though I don’t feel like sh*t!!
Around 2000 I used to do a lot of exercise including weight training and running but this was put to one side after an industrial accident left me with caustic burns to my lower right leg. The running that I loved became impossible for a year or so due to pain in the muscle but since then I have stagnated and done literally no exercise at all. In my younger days I was quite active playing Football, Rugby Union and American Football but after my early 20’s I did nothing at all.
I am an Electrical Engineering Technician and changed my job in Feb 2005. I now work for a port authority fixing and maintaining Container Cranes, which I enjoy immensely. Hanging off cranes in the cold wind and rain isn’t everyone’s idea of Heaven but I love it… I thought this would get me fit but alas it only gives you big legs!!
Approaching my 40th Birthday in 2010 I thought I’d better do something about my health. A few years ago I started fitness plan which I called “Shit2Fit” and tracked my results via a website. Least to say I failed… Anyway, “Shit2Fit V2.0” has been born and I am starting out on my mission to lose weight, increase cardio fitness and increase muscle.

I just wanted to congratulate you on starting over in your goals to become healthy once again. We're all in it for the same reason, so if you have questions don't be afraid to ask. Everyone at this site has been terrific when it comes to advice, motivation, etc. Wishing you the best. :)

thanks for the welcome and the 'Words Of Wisdom' :) I find it really good to talk to other people in the same situation as myself at times. It's OK to do it all on your own but a lot easier with some friendly 'Support'...

"Word of Wisdom?" Ha! No not really... just words of advice. haha Have you started a diary on the site yet? Hmmm I've been contemplating whether I should or not. Then again, it would keep me accountable of everything I eat and do. How about this... let's both start one. Let's say I fell off the wagon and have done relatively NOTHING since these posts... :-(
