yay - best to jump right in i think! i just joined here today, but i've been going to another weightloss forum for a few weeks. unfortunately its been a bit wobbly the past few days so i thought i should see if there are any others to use : )

so i haven't been able to record the past few days of eating, i might do it here (hope i can remember!). had a few dodgy days due to chrissy parties - mostly alcohol rather than food, but oh well.

let's see..

Thursday 10 december

b: saltana bran + skim milk
l: salmon, homous, five bean mix
d: completely forget :s
snacks: a friend brought me a freddo frog for afternoon tea (first chocolate for ages) and i had a few chewy apple sweets in the evening at my son's school play
drinks: 1 coffee, 4 teas, 3 ltrs water
exercise: none

Friday 9 december

b: eggs and small tin of ww baked beans
l: egg and lettuce sandwich on wholemeal bread
d: left over baked salmon and five bean mix
snacks: none
drinks: 2 coffees, 3 teas, 3 ltrs water
exercise: treadmill at the gym for 40 mins

Saturday 10 december

b: saltana bran +skim milk
l: chicken (skinless) with a lovely green salad (a friend made for me), followed by rockmelon and a couple of grapes.
d: went to two christmas parties - one late arvo the other in the evening. dranks champagne and wine, then came home with a mate and cracked open another bottle (bad, but we had fun!). i ate canapes, such as a couple of prawns, tiny salmon thingies, tiny chicken thingies, tiny sausage rolls and a tiny piece of cake. not my finest food hour but i've been really strict up until then, so i think its healthy to enjoy from time to time.

exercise: meant to, but son's dad was due to arrive during my gym session, so i couldn't go.

looks like i've had heaps of eggs!

oh, i weighed myself last friday and i had lost 900g (2 pounds) so yay!

i'll try to stick to the friday weigh-in (mind you, christmas party on thursday night, so i'll have to be very good before that!)

We all have a few dodgy days, all we can do is pick ourseves up and keep going. This is a great forum and you will gets lots of suport to get you over those bad days.

muddled the dates up there a bit! oh well. sunday..

Sunday 11 December

b: 2 scrambled eggs and some ww cottage cheese

l: smoked mackeral, hommous, baby spinach, a few olives

d: small slice of my son's pizza (bugger - i don't even like pizza!)

snacks: some homous and a small piece of wholemeal bread (not the crusts), one milo with skim milk

drinks: 3 ltrs water, 4 teas with skim milk and sweetener
exercise: none - argh, i've got to go to the gym MANY times this week to make up for my lame efforts last week (i went three times, but the last one was only 20 mins on the treadmill)

happy monday everyone :D

12 december

b: saltana bran + skim milk (190)

l: same as lunch yesterday, only no olives and not as much homous (400)

d: home made chilli (just with beans, no meat) drool! and a couple of pieces of avocado (about a quarter of a cup), piece of reduced fat feta cheese. all covered with coriander (oh gawd, i could eat it all over again :D). (350)

drinks: 2 coffees (sokay, i didn't have any on the weekend : )), 4 teas, 3 ltrs water

snacks: plan to have a milo maybe later. no idea how many cals that is, but prolly about 100.

exercise: 35 mins on the treadmill (said i'd burnt 350 cals)

calories: about 1100 if you count the milk i had in my drinks (i think). i had too much on saturday and i expect it to be bad this week (parties on thurs, sat and sun) so i'm looking to have a light week as much as possible - hopefully then i won't feel too guilty after a few glasses of vino

Tuesday 13 December

b: saltana bran + skim milk

l: same as dinner last night

d: pasta with tomato based sauce

snacks: had about a quarter of a piece of chicken pie and four small lindt chocolates + glass wine - stupid!

drinks: 3+ ltrs water, one coffee, four teas

exercise: treadmill at the gym for 25 mins

wednesday morning

weightloss not good so far this week. i weigh myself on wednesdays because that's the day i got weighed first at the gym a month ago (i also use the same scales at the gym as mine don't really work). i'm at 73.2 which means only 100g since last friday. i'll see how much more i can go to the gym this week and weigh again on friday. very disappointed not to be in the 72s (or less).

I completly understand your frustration! We've all been there! you just need to put it behind you and keep at it!

Don’t worry about the wine mate, im sure by Christmas you will end up having a few more but just work it into your day. Hope your having a good one.

thanks, rosered (fellow aussie!)..i'll be having a lot more for sure - luckily i don't usually drink so i'm a two-pot screamer :)

Wednesday 14 December 2005

b: 2 scrambled eggs + 1 small tin ww baked beans

l: tuna + salad sandwich on wholemeal bread

d: basmati rice with onion, garlic and peas - with chicken coated with spices and almonds on top. one no fat yoghurt.

snacks: about a quarter of an apple and cinamon granola bar (my daughter had left it and i scoffed it when i got home) and a handful of (my son's) twisties. been hungrier than usual the past couple of days, which confused me, but it turns out its that time of the month so at least now i know why! won't expect much weightloss this week, then - but will go to the gym as much as possible.

drinks: 3+ltrs water, one coffee, four teas, one big green tea.

exercise: step class at the gym (1 hour), 30 min walk at lunch time. thought i'd go back to the gym in the arvo, but i watched a dvd instead :D

Lol mate don’t worry im not too far behind you anymore, doesn’t take much to get me tipsy. I no what you mean about getting the munchies at that time of the month, I can go nuts looking for a sugar fix but I have found a low fat snack that helps. You can buy caramel popcorn in the health food section of Woolworths, they come in party pack sizes and they are worth one point a pack, also a fun size Milky Way is worth 1 point, these will help your sugar cravings. A banana will help also and grapes with the natural sugar in them. Hope you’re having a good week mate.

ah i do love a little drink : )

caramel popcorn - yum! i'll check it out. i'm glad there was only a little of the granola bar left, i'd have eaten it all otherwise! i'm on a low GI diet so i have to be careful. def. grapes are a good idea (no nanies on the low GI, well, not until i lose the weight)

good week so far - but i might have a challenge tonight, i think i'm supposed to be going to a chrissy party dinner thing. if i do, i'll hit the gym before-hand to make me feel less guilty :D

hope your week is good, too!

Thursday 15 December

b: two scrambled eggs, small piece of lo fat feta

l: turkey, cranberry sauce, brie and salad sandwich on wholemeal bread

d: i didn't end up going out, and i wasn't really hungry but i decided i had to eat. it was a bit late but i had a piece of smoked mackeral, some lo fat feta and a no fat yoghurt.

snacks: none

drinks: 3 ltrs water, 2 coffees and 3 teas

exercise: pilates dvd at home - thigh and butt one, takes 35 minutes. i can sure feel it today!

weighed in today (friday). i've lost 300g (just over half a pound) this week. not much i know but i'm still changing my ticker :D

Woo hoo on the 300g hun that’s terrific, it doesn’t take long for those hundreds of grams to add up and before you no it it’s a kg and then its 5 kg lol you go ahead and change that ticker you earned it.

thanks rosered :D i'm trying to be patient, but eee!

its monday, back online. will try to remember the weekend..

Friday 16 Dec

d: i think i had a little pasta, but i forget exactly!

Saturday 17 Dec

What ya talking about girl? Your weekend looks pretty good considering it’s the holidays. Were your veges baked? Was the pasta tomato based? Cheese is a killer though. All up it dosen't look to bad. I hope your having a good day today.
