Shake N Bake chicken

I love Shake n Bake chicken, but I think I'm undercounting my calories. I alternate between chicken thighs and drumsticks, which I cover in Shake N Bake.

The problem is figuring out the calorie count in the chicken, actually. I had been counting a thigh as 125 calories and a leg as 100, but I think they're low, and I had not counted the Shake N Bake covering at all.

So - I think I should be (to be safe) to count an average chicken leg with Shake N Bake as 180 calories and an average chicken thigh as 200. I eat a lot of this kind of chicken on my diet, and I've only lost one pound in the last week on a 1600-cal./day diet while walking 4 mi./day, so something's sneaking in under the wire.

Anyone have any input on this?

I donno if this is what your looking for, but maybe you can use this as an alternative to shake n bake (I've never tried it).

Use whole wheat bread crumbs, some garlic, fresh ginger (only need a bit), salt, pepper, onion powder, and a few drops of olive oil. I think that may cut the calories and it has good stuff for you like garlic, ginger, and olive oil. It's especially good if you rub all those seasonings on the chicken from the night before you cook it and let it marinade over night.

an ounce of shake and bake is 113 calories.

Sounds almost like you're guessing. I like to weigh my food, and I get most of my calorie counts from calorie king.
